Manual shot blasting

Manual shot blasting

Manual shot blasting is intended for oversized metal structures of the width of max 3000 mm, length – 18000 mm (and longer). This type of cleaning is performed by a manual shot blasting machine that sprays the jet of compressed air containing the abrasive media. To reduce dustiness, the jet of air, abrasive medium, and water may be used. Manual shot blasting removes the remaining oil, impurities, corrosion formations, deposit after rolling, etc. – SA-2.5 and higher class of cleanliness is achieved. This cleaning method also provides roughening of the metal surface, making it ideal for subsequent application of anti-corrosive coating.

Quality guarantee

Manual shot blasting is subject to strict control under international requirements for our clients to be 100 % confident of high quality service. Our processes involving manual cold blast machine comply with standard LST EN ISO 8501 Preparation of steel substrates before application of paints and related products. The standard specifies initial surface conditions, rust grades and preparation grades of uncoated steel substrates and of steel substrates after overall removal of previous coatings.

Benefits of manual shot blasting:

  • efficient cleaning method;
  • applicable to oversized metal structures;
  • applicable to all types of metal;
  • no resulting damage or deformation of the surface subject to shot blasting;
  • 95 % and more contaminates are removed from the metal surface.
